Privacy Policy

Who we are

My name is Claire Schrader, and I am the author of the book, From Wallflower to Sunflower.
The book’s website address is: https://fromwallflowertosunflower.com, and you can also contact me through: http://makingmoves.net

Your privacy and protection of your data are very important to me, particularly if you join one of my courses. Confidentiality is a key element of all my courses. This is what provides the safety that will enable you to move from Wallflower to Sunflower.

I aim to be GDPR compliant in all my activities.  For this website, this privacy policy covers the privacy of your data when signing up for the bonuses or making contact with us by email.

Please use the form at the bottom of this page if you want to be in touch with me about anything related to GDPR connected with this website.

What personal data this website collects and why we collect it:

If you sign up for the bonuses, I will be collecting information from you to deliver the bonuses to you.

If you contact me through this website, I will also be collecting your data to respond to your enquiry.

How we protect your data

The services that I use to store your data are secure (encrypted and GDPR compliant). They are strict about privacy and spam and have sophisticated ways of blocking any attempts to hack into your information.

After signing up for the bonuses, I send you a series of follow up emails, which I hope will increase the value you receive from the bonuses and purchasing my book. There is a link at the end of each email you receive that allows you to unsubscribe – and to withdraw your permission to receive these emails.

If you choose to subscribe to the UK Making Moves Newsletter and receive updates and reminders about the courses I run in London, then you will need to be aware of the Making Moves privacy and data protection policy related to the Making Moves UK newsletter and courses.

Most of the data that this website collects are automatically gathered by the WordPress platform, to make your use of this website as easy and simple as possible.  This is no different from any other website.

Who we share your data with

I do not share your data with anybody else. There is no reason for me to sell, share, or give away any personal information I collect about you to anyone else – because the most important thing in the courses I run, is trust. I would not get very far if I broke that trust that is such an important part of this book, my courses, workshops, and sessions.

Analytics

We don’t currently collect any analytics through this website.

You may request for me to remove your data through the GDPR contact form below. I will respond as soon as I can to your request.

What data breach procedures we have in place

If there is a breach of data, I will inform you of its occurrence and take steps to minimise it. I will keep you informed of what has happened and the final outcome

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

YOUR DATA AND PRIVACY RELATED TO AUTOMATIC FEATURES OF A WORDPRESS WEBSITE

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. This is automatically created by the WordPress website platform, as with any other WordPress website.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. This is an automatic feature of WordPress.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Otherwise, I don’t send your data anywhere.
